United States Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Luke Bronin was in the island yesterday and met with Lankan officials to gather information about financial institutions in the country.

“His visit is to discuss how the Iranian sanction legislation will affect Sri Lankan financial institutions and to discuss the legislation and its implementation,” a US Embassy Spokesperson told the Daily Mirror.
