LankaeNews journalist Shantha Wijeysooria was arrested this evening at the web sites office premises following charges levied upon him for 'contempt of court', the police said.
He was taken into custody by the Kirindiwela police after they came to the office to obtain a statement from him regarding the offense.
However the arrest warrant was taken from the Poogoda Magistrate. Shantha Wijeysuriya is to be produced before the Poogoda Magistrate tomorrow. (Supun Dias)
