Bill gets majority

The constitutional amendment, also known as the 18th Amendment, was passed in parliament with a majority of 114 votes a short while ago.

The amendments obtained the 2/3rd majority it required with 161 members voting for it and 17 against it. (KB & YP)

Can the president dissolve the Cabinet and the Parliament according to 18th Amendment? or will there be a 19th amendment for this purpose?

It is all fault of the UNP. JR taught them how to change the constitution, Premadasa taught them how to ring the votes.

Exactly, i dont know about this 18th Ammendmnet & the purpose of it. In this instance, I blaim the opposition, as they at least did not issue a proper paper notice on this, stating the impact of 18A. Now UNP is using the JVP tactics, ie piketing and PELAPALIS. Earlier, UNP is not like this, they were very professional in politics. For all this current leadership and other UNP leaders are responsible.
