Mervyn Silva on UNP stage

E-mail Print

UPFA candidate and government Minister Mervyn Silva took to the stage at a UNP election rally in Kelaniya this morning and delivered a message to the opposition organizer of the area saying both parties should campaign for the General Elections peacefully.

However the Minister noted that supporters of the ‘Swan” have no room to campaign for the polls from the Kelaniya area. General Sarath Fonseka had contested the last Presidential polls under the swan symbol. (Courtesy Lankadeepa)

He is appointed through the National list always as MR knows well that he cannot even get 1000 votes for himself other than his relations will vote for him.

An Appeal to voters of Gampaha district...please do not vote for person like Mervyn Silva. UPFA members have many other candidates for voting. This is your turn. Use your votes wisely. Elect only decent people to parliament.

So why is he so dead against the swan? that is cos that was sucha threat! Unp is not a threat to him but the swan alliance was. so it proevs that it was a wrong decision to contest separately. & these ppl are dead against SF COS even in the opposition he will be STRONG & DYNAMIC.
