The schools in the Western Province (WP) will reopen tomorrow for Grades five, eleven and thirteen, Education Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera said
He told the Daily Mirror that the Health Services Director had conveyed recommendations on March 8 on reopening of schools in non-isolated areas of Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara Districts in the WP from tomorrow.
The recommendations mentioned that schools in the WP should be re-opened only for grades five, eleven and thirteen from tomorrow. Classes for the other grades will start after the April holidays adhering to health guidelines issued by the Health Ministry, he said.
"The children who were admitted to grade one this year did not have any chance to attend school. Accordingly, those grade one classes for the children will be opened after the Sinhala / Tamil New Year (on April 19)," he said. (Chaturanga Samaraickrama)

It would be good if year 1 admissions lists are finalised too. Some schools in WP still sleeping on it. Applications were called in July
