Controlled explosion carried out at Thimbirigaskatuwa

The Special Task Force (STF) personnel carried out a controlled explosion after they found a suspicious parcel near a restaurant at Thimbirigaskatuwa in Katana this morning, police said.

They said the STF had found several pieces of wires and nails inside the parcel after the explosion.  

Accordingly, the investigations are underway to find out whether there were any explosives in the parcel.

    no explosives. The force of the blast tells if there are explosives or not. Please don't spread panic. Facebook is block because of fake news. Newspapers do no different.
