Killings and abductions of civilians by the Sri Lankan Armed forces and the Police did not start with Gotabhaya,it has always been going on.That is why even when the criminals are killed by the police while in their custody,we must not condone the unlawful killings. Our Sri Lankan Armed forces and the Police are very dangerous to anyone who crosses their path, but we still call them “heroes “.

    BuffaloaCitizen Friday, 29 June 2018 03:57 PM

Absolutely correct. State Terrorism has been a norm from the day one of obtaining independence.

    Rosy Friday, 29 June 2018 06:34 PM

Well the terrorists were the brutal who started killing men, women, children and clergy. What do you call them. Aren’t they dangerous? Armed forces and police had to take action not look up and wait. They are trained for war and the war mongers have to be dealt severely.

Can Eknaligoda's wife do the same.

    Sanjeewa Friday, 29 June 2018 06:02 PM

Eknaligoda never harmed anyone. Let your spouse disappear, you will what 'comfort; is.

'A writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court, especially to secure the person's release unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention'.For those who don't what is "Habeas Corpus " means.

    ds Friday, 29 June 2018 04:16 PM

She is out of her mind just like Eknaligoda's wife. They live in comfort with NGO funds at the expense of all the youth who were led to a mad insurgency.

    Okaaay, and then what???

    max Friday, 29 June 2018 04:37 PM

Good move. While present JVP is honeymooning with UNP, who was responsible for his disappearance, this lady had the guts to come forward on behalf of her slain husband.

Udayanga Palisena Monday, 02 July 2018 12:42 AM

A husband, whom she mught NOT be proud of , for aking so many mothers, sisters wives lose their loved. Ones.He Praba Gota are all megallomaniacs

    DJ Friday, 29 June 2018 04:50 PM

Good move by mrs Wijeweera. While unp trying to bring justice to Tigers this case will remind us how unp gave justice to 60,000 Sinhalese youth barbecuing them on tyres.

    Ajja Friday, 29 June 2018 04:51 PM

Wake up Mrs. Wijeweera from your deep sleep. Were you counting 29 long years to file action!!!Crazy is not the word...

    Janaka Friday, 29 June 2018 05:08 PM

This man was another Prebhakaran.,,,,they killed many innocent young people for nothing.....

    Citizen Friday, 29 June 2018 05:14 PM

Don’t forget that you live in peace because of them. Anybody who challenge sovereignty and peace should be removed from the society.

    Cisco Friday, 29 June 2018 05:20 PM

Office of Missing Persons will resolve this soon. This AKD and clang does not have courage to do so.

    Dee Friday, 29 June 2018 05:30 PM

Next thing. Parabas wife will also do the same

    Yeti Friday, 29 June 2018 06:45 PM

You mean she'd go missing too?

    REEZ Friday, 29 June 2018 05:38 PM

I thought that case was over after the police told the public he was taken to show the weapons hidden. There was a shoot out and Wijeweera was killed. That's what we were made to believed. That's how the case closed. That's what they are going to tell in the future.

Nethmini Rajakaruna Friday, 29 June 2018 05:49 PM

Come on UNP. Get ready with answers. You guys have ears, eyes and mouths open only for brutality done by other parties. My brother is still missing who was taken from Moratuwa University in 1989.
