President Maithripala Sirisena is reported to have told the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Central Committee that he had the required number of MPs to form a stable government.

The SLFP CC with the President in the chair met on Wednesday for the first time after the swearing-in of the new Prime Minister.

The President asked the members to cooperate with him to form a stable government. The SLFP has decided to hold its executive committee and all island committee on November 8.

The all island committee is the body which ratifies the decisions taken by the CC.

The President said the SLFP constitution would be amended to incorporate two more provisions including the one to establish a politburo for decision making on crucial matters.

A party spokesman said the politburo would be a body parallel to the CC and that it would only consist of top level leaders. (Kelum Bandara)

Please come for the vote, we will show the numbers for all who robbed money and power.

You may have the numbers. However behave in a gentleman's way. Buying people is a disgrace beyond belief. A law should be passed that once elected under a party, the MP cannot move into another one unless he resigns and recontest under the new party. That is the gentleman's way. Don't spoil the upcoming children of our land by your disgusting behaviour.

I think that every thing is in a mess and in confusion, without knowing which way to go. Purely, as know body knows which way is correct, as we have broken the rules as some stupid uneducated childen from the bush, may do.Let see what is going to happen. We need to accept the serious mistakes we have done, appologise, undo what we have done wrong and resign. One must have the gutts to do that and resign and hide somewhere.

After president JR term, premadasha, mahinda and mitheri are uneducated unprofessional who served as a president. They give priority to their personal beliefs, values, priority, norms over the constitution. They disobey to law and order, simply exercise their power and authority to manipulate the system as they wish.Since these are uneducated, power greedy, eager to earn a lot of money minded people, they miss manage the country and cause immense suffering to the people. their cabinet to has a lot of uneducated, poor social or economic state with poor moral and ethical people. their only goals are earned more money and get more contract and provide job to his relative. For them cheating, betraying, manipulating etc as a smart way of doing a thing. this similar thing happened in Tamil Nadu after 1967 and the state ruined and recently CM Jaya died very pathetically. we have to learn from Tamil Nadu politics and rectify our system
