Dilapidated buildings with absolutely no hygienic conditions and security measure are permitted to be used as tea stores. This is one of the reasons for theft of tea, adulteration and other malpractices affecting the image of our teas. It is high time the Tea Board drew up a strict set of regulations concerning these.

When excavations are done to build high rise buildings the old buildings around are at risk. This is an issue that the authorities must address ASAP. I have heard cracks appearing in new houses due to excavations for high rise buildings
