SLFP ministers are reportedly hoping to inform President Maithripala Sirisena in writing that they would support the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara told Daily Mirror today that a few SLFP ministers would sign the no confidence motion but the rest would act during the voting.
“We are signing a separate letter to be handed over to the President. We will inform him that we will support the motion unless the Prime Minister is removed before that,” he said.
The joint opposition is collecting signatures for the motion and making attempts to obtain the signatures of some UNP members as well while some SLFPers are said to be opposed to the motion, which seeks to unseat the Premier. (Kelum Bandara)

‘a few SLFP ministers would sign the no confidence motion but the rest would act during the voting’. So in plain English, you don’t have enough support for the no confidence motion.

Will those who sign resign and leave the government when the motion is defeated ? They will beg to remain with all the perks! These are Lankan politicians with NO principles!!

Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara, people including your electorate terribly losing confidence in you, because they have already understood that you are not a man of principle. According to your own pledge,by now you should have quit your cabinet portfolio. You are a man who like most of the politicians will do anything for your own benefit. Shame on you Mr. Jayasekara. You cheated SLFP and joined UNP,then you cheated UNP and joined MR ,then cheated MR and joined MS and now you are trying to cheat MS and to join MR again. Before long people will teach you a very good lesson.

There are a few Double-Gamers like Dayasiri, Dilan, Susil supporting Mahinda's fraudsters, but Prime minister will win the motion and these culprits have to leave the government.
Ajantha Wednesday, 21 March 2018 03:02 PM
These leeches will not leave under any circumstance. They will simply twist the tongue and play a different story to stay in the cabinet.

Saman Wednesday, 21 March 2018 10:49 AM
It is time the UNP bring a no confidence motion against MR ,which cn easily won in present parliament ,for the billions of dollars he rob with Mig flights deal and appoint a commission as soon as possible to the bond scams during MR times they were worse than Mahendran robbery
Ajantha Wednesday, 21 March 2018 03:11 PM
It is a good suggestion if a NCM against MR can be unseated from parliament. About the bond commission on bond issues during MR's time, reshuffling of SLFP section of the Cabinet and anti-corruption drive while flanked by all the corrupt are all whistles but no "Bulty" by the President.

Well, this action also will have a lot of ramifications for the SLFP and the president. Some SLFP MPs are playing with fire or they are in someone's payroll.

Those who jumped from branch to branch, oops I mean to say from party to party and those who were rejected by the voters but came to the Parliament with "Pinata Seat" are the ones who are promoting this no confidence motion.
