The Colombo Chief Magistrate today rejected a request made by counsel, appearing for the National Blood Bank’s former director Dr. Mangalika Bindusara, calling for the cancellation of the arrest warrant issued on June 7.
The counsel told Court that Dr. Bindusara was undergoing medical treatment in Australia.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara directed the defendant to surrender after completing her treatment in Australia.
Dr. Bindusara has been charged with importing packs of expired blood plasma and using it on patients.
The case was filed by the Bribery Commission. (Yoshitha Perera)

If she is from SAITM, our good doctors from GMOA would have shouted murder and call for another strike. Since no such activity assume she is one of them from GMOA and acceptable.

There are so many others who worked under her responsible for this racket. I am very sure one Docter is migrated to New Zealand and practicing there. How come crooks practicing in another country. Authorities would have canceled their license. via DM iOS App
