Nobody can escape death when the times come because there are stories of the victims which clearly demonstrate as to how people irrespective of age and sex lost their lives while their kith and kins narrowly escaped.

The PM knows the situation smells very bad for his very sensitive nose. Wait and see, Meethotumulla may be spared, but some other place and people will have to be put up with the offensive smell.

Why can't he. Anyone can .... even the Army officer wearing but he has put down to talk. Don't bring in childish arguments in such situations

Ranil being the PM of Srilanka feel the severe smell. You can now imagine how the innocent people of Kollonnawa lived with this stench for so many years with all those sicknesses.

Why only the PM is wearing the mask?
Indrajith Wednesday, 19 April 2017 02:57 PM
Just minute after landing in the country Prime minister has guts to come and meet these people where as .leaders who were in the country when the disaster happened aren't aware of it.

It's commonly practiced by many individuals even in Singapore. If you are sick you wear a mask so that you will spread or attract viruses. In this case because of the bad smell. It's the choice of the person we don't want to get sick.

Hats off to the Prime Minister. At least he has visited the disaster scene unlike the other leader.
