Rainco (Pvt) Ltd, the leading Sri Lankan manufacturer of umbrellas, mosquito nets and raincoats - recently rewarded the winners of the second edition of its ‘Tharageta Kuda Ihalamuda’ promotion.
Customer’s had to post the price tag of any Rainco product along with a coupon obtained through press ads or through traders. The nation-wide promotion attracted over 20,000 applicants vying for exciting prizes on offer. The top three prizes were a Scooter, Refrigerator and Washing Machine respectively. Among the other prizes were a LED TV, blenders, rice cookers and irons.
Winning the top prize of a Scooter was H.T. Undhani Harshani of Avissawella. The second prize, a Refrigerator was won by G. Aruni Subhani of Weerawila while the third prize of a Washing Machine was won by Suneth Duminda of Matara.
The promotion concluded on January 31st 2016 and the 18 winners were selected through a Raffle Draw held recently. It was held at the Rainco Auditorium in Mount Lavinia in the presence of a representative from the Provincial Revenue Department.

Rice Cookers were won by Awanthi Pabasara of Galle, P. S. Pushpakumarie of Bandaragama, W. Chandrika of Matara, B. Dhanushka of Gall and K. W. N. Sakunthala Perera of Medawachchiya while Electric Irons were won by Amila Richard of Avissawella, R. Farhan of Colombo 9, J. A. K. Iranga Jayakodi of Mulleriyawa North, D. M. N. C. Dissnayaka of Undhukoda and Jagath Rohan of Kurunegala
