Six more persons were arrested by the police on charges of protesting and behaving in a violent manner at the Indian Consulate office in Hambantota despite a court order.
Police said four persons were arrested yesterday while another two were arrested this morning. The four suspects were remanded till October 16 after they were produced in court.
The Hambantota Police arrested 28 people on the same charge previously.
Police also summoned MPs Namal Rajapaksa, D.V Upul, Provincial Councilors Upali Kodikara, Sampath Athokorala and Major (Rtd.) Ajith Prasanna to record statements over the incident.(DS)

Well, they should be arrested for obstruction of government programs. In fact, ever since this government came to power, everyday there were strikes and protests and it continues unabated. The JO doesn't allow this government to do his job. Government should stop treating the highway robbers as politicians and citizens, they are criminals who cause so much of inconvenience to the public and the economy as well.

What is wrong in leasing it out to India or china, when no takers are available in sri lanka. Internationally due to our labour protests, corrupt politics, uncertainity, protests etc.. we have been overlooked. Idiots protesting for unwanted issues doesn't understand.
