President Maithripala Sirisena was expected to make a few changes to the Government in the near future, UPFA Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera told the Daily Mirror.

“The President conveyed this at a special meeting held with Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members in Colombo today,” he said.

Meanwhile, Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said they, as the SLFP, allowed the President to decide whether the SLFP could continue in this manner.

In 2015 MS and RW started with good intentions. (and) once saw the raw meat on gravy ..... couldn't help it and the nature of the local politician set-in. As the two individuals used a clan of rogues to swindle left right and the center. People and their families now understands the gravity of losses. Too late for sweet talk you are not fit for the job. Next PE MS has to go and we will show you the way out.

Will it be old wine in new bottles? Here are 5 things government need to do;1.Bring the cost of living down2.Speed-up economic development (roads, rural areas, IT infrastructure, education, investment opportunities, agriculture, domestic products, foreign employment, and medical care).3.Sustain good governance and take proper legal action and hold those squandered public funds accountable (this and previous govt).4.Cut down wastage in ministries – reduce the ministries to a maximum of 10 and cut the red tape/ bureaucracy in the government.5.Set a qualification criteria to enter into politics – get rid of those who haven’t performed (don’t give them different ministries).

    Kumara Monday, 12 February 2018 12:51 PM
