President Maithripala Sirisena left for India a short while ago to attend the global anti-tobacco conference organized by the World Health Organization in New Delhi.
During his two-day visit, President Sirisena will take part in the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control with representatives of 180 countries as well as regional economic integration organizations like the European Union.
The President is schedule to address the convention as a special speaker on the inaugural day. He will also meet Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.(T.K.G. Kapila)
