Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today it seems that President had become the Finance Minister while the Finance Minister had become the President.
He told journalists at the Abhayaramaya temple that the finance minister was acting beyond his powers.
Mr. Rajapaksa expressed these views in response to a question on the sale of lotteries at Rs.30 despite the President’s opposition.
“Such a thing would not have happened in my time,” he said.
Mr. Rajapaksa said the President was trying to evade his responsibilities all the time and added that a President could not do so.
“The President, as the head of the Government, cannot run away from his responsibilities when something wrong has been done by the Finance Minister or the Prime Minister,” he said.

There is nothing wrong in "acting" and not "behaving" like each other. Depending on the call of the day this can be permitted. In your time, you acted like a "King" and "God" but behaved like a "Thug and a Rogue".

No one irespespective of what religion one belongs would not talk against his religion. MR is cleverly covering his cowardness by shielding behind the temples . People will not be fooled all the time via DM Android App

Frank should consult a psychiatrist to understand the meaning as per the dictionary of a dictator and also the deeds which MR carried out. Then Frank will know the real definition of a dictator in the context of MR

Only MR uses the temple for his political work. He might as well setup an office room in each and every temple across the country. Someone needs to tell him what temples have been built for.

Hay Mahinda you are wrong. You did everything according to your own ways, but MS does everything thinking about the welfare of all SriLankans.
Kadupol Jothywansa Thursday, 26 January 2017 08:05 PM
You threw millions and kept your people (all culprits) under you and threatened others with your money power, killing and kid-napping people. But MS wisely handles matters and keep 100 times more support than you had.

MR. During your rule your'll actions were unethical scandalous to the extent of undermining democracy, protecting a rogue empire and hurting society as a whole, the present President had to step forward to defend the constitution and reclaim Sri Lanka in the eyes of the world
Suren Sarathkumara Friday, 27 January 2017 10:45 AM
