Prasanna Ranweera remanded over assault

UPFA Gampaha District MP Prasanna Ranaweera was remanded till March 22 by Mahara Magistrate’s Court over an assault incident.

He was charged with assaulting a candidate who contested at the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha at the last Local Government elections from the SLFP.

    Nothing new here this is now normal in Sri Lanka. In my view one of the most sort after qualification to be MP in Sri Lanka is a police arrest report.
