Police seeks public help to apprehend suspect over Rs. 210mn fraud

The Police today released a photograph of a suspect seeking public assistance to apprehend him for allegedly involved in a financial fraud of over Rs. 210 million.

Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said an individual, a resident of Nawala had lodged a complaint at the CID stating that he was defrauded by the suspect who is a resident of Rajagiriya.

According to the complaint, the victim had given Rs. 210,623,250 money to the suspect Sanjeewa de Silva Pandithasekara who is residing at Sky Gardens Residence, Perera Mawatha, Buthgamuwa in Rajagiriya.

Police said the suspect had not returned the money to the victim.

Police requested the public to inform the Commercial Crimes Investigation Unit via 011-239 5248, if they have any information about the suspect.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

    Dear who ever, the man in the picture is well up and about I don’t understand why cops cannot find him, he was very much in the flesh last Saturday at Solis with women. Very noticeable as he was loud and throwing money about. Our table even complained and no action was taken.
