A document with the names of the MPs who have had telephone conversations with Perceptual Treasuries Chief Arjun Aloysius will be tabled in Parliament this week, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said over the weekend.

Speaker Jayasuriya told Journalists that he had asked for these names from President’s Secretary Austin Fernando and the latter had obtained the approval of Attorney General to reveal the names of those who had conversed with Aloysius.

“I will get the names of those who had phone conversations with Aloysius within the next Parliament week and will reveal them accordingly," he said.

Also, he said there is no list of MPs who had taken money from Perpetual Treasuries Chief though some claim that there is a list of 118 persons. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

Another cover up. So only Dayasiri took money? How did the number 116 then come up as those MPs who took money. Talking is free and fine but we want to now who TOOK MONEY which is the crime.

But on 01 June news was : Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has written to the Secretary to President Austin Fernando to send him the list of names mentioned in the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) Report as those who had allegedly RECEIVED FINANCIAL GRATUITIES from Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. boss Arjun Aloysius. That is what we want - not just talking.

There is a Sinhala saying "Nangi pennala, akka denawa" (showcasing the younger sister in an arranged marriage but ,actually it is the elder (much) sisters is being offered). Speaker is trying to do similar thing.

We don't want a stupid phone call list Speaker. What we need is the list of payments the PTL and related companies made to everyone. This is koheda yanne malle Pol. You didn't insult the soldiers during the war unlike Ranil, Ravi and Kiriella. So I had a little respect for you. Now that too is gone.

people are eagerly waiting to see how much Dila and AS B, Susi, judge Anura have pocketed.

What is the use of the names unless the conversations are also provided!!!

    Kumar Monday, 04 June 2018 06:59 AM

Is the speaker brave enough to reveal the names.

    Jaliya Monday, 04 June 2018 07:13 AM

Now it has gone from taking money list to having a friendly chat list ..... the people [tax payer] who will ultimately have to split the bill in this circus needs to know the list of parliamentarians who has received financial or other benefits from PTL or its affiliates directly or indirectly. Simple task ... the name of person with official title in government at the time of benefit or otherwise ... what's been received value in LKR if not cash or cheque and the date of the donation or gift is all what we need to know.

    Buddhist Monday, 04 June 2018 07:15 AM

How can the minister say that there are no names of those who took money? There is a list of persons who got money with CID as CID got the accounts reviewed and have the check stubs! Why is the Speaker not telling the truth? Whom is he protecting? Himself?

    Unchikun Monday, 04 June 2018 07:32 AM

    Will it be "Hello Hello"?

    Premalal Monday, 04 June 2018 08:12 AM

Don't hold your breath. This is Sri Lanka where the word of the politician is like snow flake. Already there maybe moves to scuttle the revelation.

    premalal Monday, 04 June 2018 12:36 PM

Every one with the possible exception of Eran We. Should logically be in the list

    Nimal Monday, 04 June 2018 08:35 AM

    MR is in the list.

    AJ Monday, 04 June 2018 08:39 AM

Mr. Speaker, did you ask Ranjan as he is claiming he knows the names of the persons who accepted money from perpetual treasuries.

Whats the bladdy delay name them and shame them and do not ever let them enter parliament nor contest any elections and arrest them as soon as possible. If you want to bring discipline its now or never

dickie bird Monday, 04 June 2018 09:21 AM

Soo... the phone conversations, will it give an inferance or an indication of those who received Money ??

    Sunil Monday, 04 June 2018 09:40 AM

It certainly will give some indication, depending on the number of calls and their duration.

    Mandy Monday, 04 June 2018 09:42 AM

But DM reported on June 01 that the Speaker asked for names regarding financial improprieties from Prex Sec - not telephone records. So is this a cover up?

    Krishantha Monday, 04 June 2018 09:46 AM

A very big thank goes to Dayasiri for jumping

    anura Monday, 04 June 2018 09:57 AM

We had seen what Austin said about the list. He said there is no list given in the report and the whole report has to be studied to get the names.Be that as it may and put out the names of people who had contact with him. In the meantime time Austin the great can study the report and submit the names.Remeber we need a time frame.

    will Monday, 04 June 2018 11:53 AM

Expose all hidden reports relevant to central bank scam, not this and that, he is talking on report on telephone conversations

    Ceylon Monday, 04 June 2018 12:01 PM

List disappeared because of one name there, sirisena.

    nihal Monday, 04 June 2018 12:44 PM
