    Sanjeewa Saturday, 10 November 2018 11:10 AM

Elections is not the answer. The answer is legal action to invalidate the unconstitutional dissolution.

Vimal Carlos Friday, 09 November 2018 11:08 PM

Election is the most prominent thing in democracy. It is not a wastage...... Those coward and fake civil societies are now afraid of elections as people will throw away those neo liberalists and bring back patriots.......The democracy is at its peak.....

Go on have election everyday and you will have achieved the pinnacle of democracy!!!

    Democrat Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:26 AM

For that you can’t have elections every month at public’s expense and country’s instability. People elected parliament for 5 years. So dissolving a parliament before that is against democracy. It is dictatorship

    sanath Friday, 09 November 2018 11:49 PM

Before the general election, we should have the presidential election, because now we are having an unconscious president. and also an unconstitutional government but

I am scared of Friday nights now. Do not know what will be there when I wake up. Scared of my country and it’s democrazy looted by thieves

    Sils Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:28 AM

The entire nation should ABSTAIN from voting until everything is done constitutionally, starting from reconvening parliament and inviting both RW and MR to show their majorities. In a democracy, the validity of the people's vote is subject to a constitution that has NOT been violated and NOT a constitution that has been violated.

    P Bemunuge Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:30 AM

Let us send home for good Siresena farmer.

    Gayan Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:47 AM

Irony is that farmers will decide who wins the forthcoming elections.

    P Bemunuge Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:42 AM

Does the President, a farmer knows what he is talking about? You are not fit to be the President who cannot take a stand on issues that concerns the peoples' rights.

    P bemunuge Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:46 AM

Your website is a joke. This is what you call the freedom of the press. My foot.

    Samantha Saturday, 10 November 2018 12:22 PM

    nimal Saturday, 10 November 2018 08:43 PM

all of these political leaders are the same. Mr.Srisena is another version of Mr.Rajapaksa. It can be observed by analyzing his speeches since he became the president.

    ra Saturday, 10 November 2018 08:45 PM

Mr.Srisena promised Tamils to have investigation into war crimes during the presidential election by aligning with TNA. He also claimed that he had difference with MR. Can anyone believe his claim were genuine?
