Today’s Parliament session was adjourned till March 21 by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya a short while ago following a tense situation between MPs of the government and the joint opposition.
Government MPs opposed the Speaker’s move to allow three joint opposition MPs to speak during the session, leading to the tense situation.
Leader of the House, Minister Lakshman Kiriella had opined that the decision was unfair and that it would consume the time allocated for other Parliamentary proceedings. (Yohan Perera)

These JOkers are a disgrace to the Parliament. They are misusing the freedom gained after the fall of their regime and exploiting the media freedom to their own advantage. The Speaker should not allow them to use the public toilet in the Parliament Premises for their next Press meet.

What a colossal WASTE of public funds? These parasites are a curse to any nation. They do not contribute to the GROWTH of the country, but feed on the nation's wealth by raking up thumping salaries, perks and pensions. No wonder why Sri Lanka is still in debt even after 69 years of independence.

let the JO remain in the parliament toilet. That is where they belong
Lord Wolfstein Saturday, 11 March 2017 09:51 AM
This so-called JO has no right to speak in Parliament, since it is not a legal group in Parliament. About talk times at the sessions alone the fractions have to determine. However, the "JO" is not a faction. It is now time to get rid of all not loyal party-members whose only endeavor is to bring a defeated dictator back to power so that they can loot the country again.
