Ministry revokes prohibition selling liquor to women

Ministry Finance and Mass media today revoked the prohibition on selling liquor to women and employing women in places where liquor is manufactured or sold.

Minister of Finance Mr. Mangala Samaraweera signed the Excise notification gazette Extraordinary in this regard under the Excise Ordinance.

Excise Notification No 666 of the Gazette Extraordinary had imposed bar on selling liquor to women and employing women in the liquor related fields. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)

You people don't realize that by doing things like this we are ruining our so called culture which runs for nearly 2500 years..If a man booz he ruins only his life but when a women start to booz the whole family dies. including the kids and upcoming generation. They might need equal rights but on on good things.

I have seen many time,Cargirl's food city selling liqueur to women.I had not idea about this prohibition.The issue here that, when there is not fertilizers for farmers this man is prioritizing these type of useless stuffs.
