The interim order, preventing FCID from taking action against Gotabaya Rajapaksa under the Public Property Act, was extended till December 25 by the Court of Appeal today.

A petition was filed by former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa seeking for an order to prevent action being taken against him under the Public Property Act by the FCID, alleging misappropriation during construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa Memorial Museum. (Farook Thajudeen)

Now citizens, you also can get an interim order from courts stopping policemen from issuing you a traffic fine. If you intend killing your wife, go to courts and get an interim order stopping the police from arresting you. Remember, only in Sri Lanka and our great learned judiciary. That is why are judges are in demand in countries like Papua New Guinea etc.

shame. Big rougues are escaping the wheels of justice. This is what reminds me what Raj Rajaratnam said when he was convicted in US: The US justice system was fair, but if he was in Sri Lanka he can take the judge out for dinner and win the case with Rs 50,000

Why is this fellow afraid of the Justice system. If he is innocent he should not dodge the legal system. It says a lot about the man.

Issue is that the monument built was that of his father. When the country was and still is in such debt, grandiose spending only shows what egoistic men the Rajapakse clan are
