While stating that the Janabalaya Kolambata was the most successful protest campaign ever in the political history of Sri Lanka, the Joint Opposition challenged the Government to go for a General Election if they claimed that the protest was unsuccessful.
Addressing a news briefing, JO member Namal Rajapaksa said they were able to accomplish the task more than they intended amidst Government’s moves to sabotage the protest and prevent it from taking place.
“The Government still says that the protest was a failure. We can’t fathom as to why they say so after having witnessed the mounting displeasure from thousands of people gathered in the protest,” Namal said.
“We challenge the ruling parties to go for an election so that they can see what would be their destiny,” he added. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Not only the government, I too saw and say your protest was a right royal flop. Why should the government have an election when you failed to do the protest correctly. Great logic Baba or more mini Ali Baba.

Baba, you said you will stay in Colombo until the government goes home and your Papa is the prime minister. Nothing like that happened. This the project was one of the biggest failure in Sri Lanka.

There was a massive crowd. The voting at an Election has to be seen. They polled heavily though.... at the last Local Government Election.

This is the correct time for most of the senior JO members including MR to give up politics and stay at home. They have definitely become a burden to the innocent poor people of Sri Lanka.

It was a flop because the way it ended...………….The Organiser should be sent to the back burner.Hello Hooker Namal ! You are just raw and green at this GAME. Just sit back and get back. You have 15 more years to mature in politics. Do not get too big for your boots at your father's expense. You were part of the problem for his loss in 2015. You don't realise and your father still does'NT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND.If anything to happen it has to be after 09.01.2019.
