Police Narcotic Bureau Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa and Prisons Department Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa, who were in remand custody over the Welikada Prison riots in 2012, were further remanded till May 8 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today.

Why are these officers being punished ? For once they have done their job properly. If the inmates won't obey instructions and get out of hand and commits rowdy acts and thug like behavior please put their lights out or make sure they will see the bright lights as they go down. At the prison we need an electric chair or a metal bench connected to a welding transformer.
