Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe said today he did not know whether he would be appointed as the minister of foreign affairs and pointed out that he was confident enough of handling any ministry.

He said this at a news conference when asked whether he was expecting the foreign affairs portfolio and told journalists that he was not sure of a cabinet reshuffle.

This person is not doing any work other than gossiping and waiting for the Cabinet reshuffle. He never talk of the high prices of food or the suffering of people. In a genuine Cabinet reshuffle he should be kicked out.

One that best fits for a job is, one who does not need it. Our Politicians are day dreamers waiting to grab.

He was rejected by the people at the elections. But got the job through to Parliament by un-democratic method. Maithri does not believe in elections. He thinks he can put his own faithful. In time to come all leaders will do the same thing.

Foreign affairs is one Ministry where you can show your real talents. One who really excelled was late Lakshman Kadirgamar. One on the opposite end; your guess is as good as mine.

The biggest opportunist. When MR came to power he was the first to leave UNP and join MR. When MR was defeated he jumped to Ranil's band wagon. Now he is targeting to be FM. He is one of them who got the boot from the electorate. That was the people's decision to reject him. Not political leaders choice to have him in the parliament.

If the Sri Lankan Government decide to appoint Hon: Mahinda Samarasignhe as the Foreign Minister in Sri Lanka , is an ideal proposition. He is no doubt a Senior and experienced Minister who could be safely depended upon to find a lasting solution to the panaceas Sri Lanka is presently facing. We are eagerly awaiting that this proposition will be realized .

I don't have any respect for politicians who jump from one party to another for their own benefits. This man is one of them. There are few others and Professor GLP is another one.
