Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s political future and the future of the country largely depend on resolving the national question and bringing about economic development, Opposition Leader R Sampanthan said.

He said this during the ceremony in Parliament to felicitate Prime Minister Ranil Wickrmesinghe's 40 years as a parliamentarian.

“Premier by nature is calm and stable person and a person who cannot be ruffled easily. We are felicitating him on his outstanding achievement of being 40 years in Parliament but the concern is his future. He and President Maithripala Sirisena should work together to come up with a political solution to the national question,” Mr. Sampanthan said.

“Economic development and the national question are closely associated. Much needed economic development could be achieved only if the national question is resolved,” he said. (Yohan Perera)

Mr. Sampanthan always talks about a "national question", but does not say what this so-called 'national question' is. Pl. elaborate Mr. Sampanthan. Hope it is not about giving Police and land powers to the north and East.

Mr Sampanthan: You probably entered parliament before Ranil? Don't pander to the gallery. This fagot thinks he is more crafty than the fellow - his Uncle JR! Right now you and your brood in TNA hold the balance - don't let this young fag pup out smart you. The least he could do to add to his 40 lethargic years in Parliament is make sure WE the people of Sri Lanka live in peace and harmony so we could all rise above the crooks and thieves like what has been insinuated of Ravi. We have a president who has no back bone - we have a PM who by nature is always bent into two. God help Sri Lanka.

Sampanthan got it all wrong just as he backed the LTTE.Ranil's future is linked to scheming many more similar Bond scam day light robberies.
