GMOA reveals SAITM has enrolled new students

Violating the government’s ruling on the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) that was recently announced by the Presidential Secretariat, the SAITM has enrolled students for a new academic year, GMOA revealed today.

GMOA Assistant Secretary Dr. Nalinda Herath told a news conference that the government’s stance on the SAITM has differs time to time and without a proper study the Presidential Secretariat has issued the notice where it said student enrollments has to be suspended temporally.

“Two weeks before the Presidential Council issued their stand on SAITM it has enrolled another student batch,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said that the government’s motive is not clear on the SAITM matter. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)

Government stance is very clear! Unless Doctors of GMOA don't understand, Government stance is that government will not close down SAITM and private higher education will also be encouraged.

Dear Authorities, please don't listen to these GMOA thugs. They have become doctors/medical officers using tax payers money and now they are sucking the blood out of the hands which fed them. The appropriate punishment for these animals is death by hanging.

Right for Education doesnt mean all have to become Doctors. Its a critical profession and there should be strict entry qualifications and regulations. Can you expect such things from fraudulent institution like SAITM Now they are above the government. via DM iOS App
