    What about doctors

Ronnie Bugger Wednesday, 26 July 2017 09:00 AM

Why did the Government wait until after the event thus causing inconveniences to all and sunder ??. To simply mention that reporting for work will e considered as vacation of post is basic labor regulation. To implement punitive action is another matter. In general, Government action is basically ineffective. President Premadasa, where art thou.

WELL DONE !!! That's the way to deal with all who doesn't want to work. This is democracy its peoples choice and at any cost public should not suffer, treat the doctors too same way.

What a great country. The workers are so patriotic and are on strike when the government plans to lease them out.How may of these patriots will work extra hours without overtime payment? I know they do in Japan.

Eddie Appathurai Wednesday, 26 July 2017 09:13 AM

At last we see some firm action by the Government. They should also add Electricity, Water and Health as essential services when people are suffering with irresponsible trade union actions.

    Casanova Wednesday, 26 July 2017 09:13 AM

Very Good move, but does the Government have the "B" to executive it? Sri Lankans are not educated enough to appreciate democracy, paper qualification is very much different to real education, Premadasa type of Governance will surely pay off.

Lanka Puthra Wednesday, 26 July 2017 09:13 AM

About time the Govt. took some action and make it clear to these political stooges that the people of this country elected them to govern and not give in to blackmail by these guys. The Govt. should also investigate how all these protests are funded
