Military Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu today categorically dismissed today’s explosion in a private bus in Diyatalawa as an act of terrorism.
"If it was an act of terrorism, the damage and explosion would have been much bigger," he added.
Brigadier Atapattu said a Military inquiry and Police Inquiry were in progress and details pertaining to the explosion could be known after the conclusion of those inquiries. (Sandun A Jayasekera)

Brigadier Atapattu, if you do not know the reason, then PLEASE do NOT rule out "act of terrorism". One of your ex-senior military leaders, for cheap political advantage, once talked about "a white flag" and put the whole country into a ditch. Be patriotic and talk the truth than white washing an interested party.

Incident or terrorism? We must be aware that LTTE is still active behind scene.

Spot on Dil. Brig. Attapattu please be a professional. Before investigation do not come into conclusion. You are bringing down the respect of SL Forces as a whole. Carey out the investigation with open mind . if its not a Terrorist act, support the public and media with proof. You looks a mature person. please do not be a joke.

Most probably someone in the bus was trying to smuggle out a grenade for personal use and it may have exploded for some reason... lets hear what truth is after the investigation.

Bon bon I agree with you. Its common sense if its a terrorist attack it would have been catastrophic with so many killed. via DM Android App
