Canada deeply concerned by violence in SL

The Canadian government said it was deeply concerned by the recent inter-communal violence in Sri Lanka and urged all sides to engage in inclusive dialogue and exercise restraint to ensure peace and stability.

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said;

“Canada is deeply concerned by recent inter-communal violence in Sri Lanka, in which Muslims were targeted. Canada urges all sides to engage in inclusive dialogue and exercise restraint to ensure peace and stability. We call for an immediate end to hate and misinformation campaigns inciting sectarian violence.

“Canada welcomes the Government of Sri Lanka’s condemnation of the violent acts. Canada calls on the government to ensure the safety and security of all minorities, to protect human rights and fundamental freedoms for all and to hold those responsible for the violence accountable. As we said at the United Nations Human Rights Council last month, frustrations persist among those trying to heal the wounds of Sri Lanka’s civil war. Ensuring that diversity and pluralism are valued is critical to the work of reconciliation in Sri Lanka.”

Compared to anti Muslim riots in India,we have less damage over here. In 2002 in Gujarat,while Modi was the Chief Minister,hundreds of Muslims were murdered by the Indian Hindus and rape of Muslim women were rampant.

If you compare the population of india with the diverse races and religeons and the number of incidents of religeos / race riots it is an absolute 0.0008 compared to Sri Lanka where it happens more than 2 times a year with a meagre population in comparison to India. India has many philosophers such as Buddha, Swami Vivekhananda, Tagore etc... who are Sri Lanka's philosophers? Galagoda? Saradiel? Mahanayakes? Gamanpila?

Canada is pro-LTTE and funds and supports the LTTE is terrorism in Sri Lanka...the LTTE was mainly funded for its ruthless bomb attacks and killings in our motherland by the fuding it received from Canada, UK, and Euro countries like Belgium, France, Austria also scandinavian countries like Norway, Sweden etc.These foreigners and sri lankan migrants cant afford to talk, they have to first stop funding terrorism and violence.
