Additional Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda yesterday said that according to the experts who conducted the extraction of data from Arjuna Mahendran’s mobile phone, data pertaining a considerable time period (approximately 11 months), which coincide with the mandated period of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry, could not be located.

It was revealed that the Commission had asked in a letter to Arjuna Mahendran to provide details in this regard and some other matters as well.

The letter had been handed over to the Counsel who was appearing on behalf of him yesterday morning.

The Commission wanted a clarification from Mahendran on this missing data. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

What a country is this? It is very much clear that they done this huge fraud . But why delaying? In public they say we are not bound to confess or you can force them to confess. They say if judges dishonor them Mahendran will go off. Now the problem is if he is not bound to confess as he is not a Sri Lankan citizen how can he be the Govener of CB

Democracy does not give anyone the right to destroy evidence. This is not the case of saving records but the deliberate destruction of specific data.

Forget the inquiry, closed. There is no point, sentenced and bailed. Don't waste more of peoples money on these useless inquiries. Just a cover up.
