Does UNP MPs understand the seriousness of the situation? I see some of them taking Pictures and similing. Are they fooling around or lost hope ?

Hari Mani Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:07 PM

Well said, the theory is whoever comes to power, they all make money and we loose. So they have all the reasons to celebrate, and fool us...

    Nish Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:40 PM

I always wonder whether Ranil instructed Sirisena to do this

    Lankaboy Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:57 PM

Crowed looks very decent unlike MR n Co protest where most of the people are drunk

    concern Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:48 PM

Very true. These people are not aware the seriousness. Instead if they are truly concerned about the country they should be sitting with all relevant politicians and discussing than showing how many supporters they have.

    nimal Tuesday, 30 October 2018 07:12 PM

    sunil Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:36 PM

We would like the leaders of the UNP to encourage people to participate more widely all over the country to protect our country from this dangerous situation this foolish Sirisena has created.Do not let these monsters come back to rob the country again, murder people and rape innocent women.Stand united and be brave

    Lankan Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:43 PM

Very unusual to have such support for a recent govt who are always going to be unpopular. This is truly become a rally cry for democracy. People understand the risk to the nation. Great to see there is still hope for the country. Sillysena and The fat bastard must be shitting in their amudey now. Piss off now and open the Parliament for a vote, whom ever wins can hold power as WE PAY FOR YOU. WE ARE YOUR MASTERS not the other way around!

    Nissanka Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:47 PM

The lady with a bible in her hand and one more thing hanging beneath shows who is behind these protests. Most of these women in the picture are famous masseuse in Colombo.

    jaykay Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:50 PM

The reason for such a massive crowd gathered.common man understand that Sirisena's that of ungrateful and against human values - forget about politics- in that way as a human being Ranil is still the best , yes, he has some problem of efficiency.

    Independant Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:53 PM

RW was detached himself from the common street man with his western attire and paid the price.JR AND RP were very different leaders.

    concern Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:33 PM

Very correct.Guess for all these supporters it does not matter as long as their party rules the country.

    Lokusalli Wednesday, 31 October 2018 04:42 PM

So dressing like a farmer makes you a good guy does it ...wearing trousers and a shirt is hardly spitting in the face of tradition is it ..putting a piece of cloth round your neck doesn't make you more trustworthy

    Nihal Tuesday, 30 October 2018 05:58 PM

We voted yahapalanaya 62% to Arrest CORRUPTED THIEVES Nearly Four Years passed Nothing happened CBSL Stolen at day light Very expensive Duty Free cars given and both parties living in a LUXURIOUS LIFE While poor peoples undergoing UNTOLD HARDSHIPS

Mad Dog Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:15 PM

Maithiri Srisena is a great man. He simply kicked out the party who brought him to power. He came to power with false promise to the nation that he will take stern action against people who was involved in corruption during Rajapakses time. But the same person has been appointed by MS to take over the country. What a joke????

    Silva Wednesday, 31 October 2018 09:55 AM

His sword went missing. So he ran behind the thugs for safety.

    Dee Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:22 PM

If anyone was actually at the rally, instead of at their desk wasting company internet and giving stupid comments. People from all over was there. Poorest to the richest. And mind you no supply of gal and rice packets with RW picture on it. They pooled whatever they could and went through the day.the busses were upto vivekananda road on marine drive wella. Plugwansa must be now counting the crowd. Good count till two parliaments come and go.

    Unchikun Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:23 PM

That a nice crowd at short notice. This need to be done in all major towns in one month intervals until democracy is restored.

    sara Wednesday, 31 October 2018 10:10 AM

Thats what you call decent than what was shown of the hooligans who entered Rupavahini lead by newly appointed Media Minister. and also the shooting incident of the CPC. I wonder those guys were paid OT for it.

    Godfrey Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:25 PM

Irrespective of da party. Cry for democracy. Great.

    thirdeye Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:35 PM

'Building' of UNP does not have anymore the people's faith as their foundation. So apart from these colour washing events it is bound to collapse, which has happened.

    Gamini Tuesday, 30 October 2018 06:47 PM

Voted Yahapalanaya to arrest and take action on currupted thieves. But Sirisena protected them from Day 1 and after 3 years made them Prime Minister and Ministers, unconstitutionally.
