Why is this family not arrested after robbing all these billions from the nation's wealth under so many ministries,

All talk but no action. Unless we change this lot wholesale, this country will soon be a failed state and a satellite nation of China. The problem with the Sri-Lankans is that we want change but never change ourselves.

You arrest one Rajapakse, then the country can see the repercussion. We are already watching the drama with so much protests, strikes and trade union threats just for the Sil Redi case.

What took you such a long time to reveal this fact. The "empty engineer" claimed that all funds cane from a private company. Where is the action to punish these bandits?

India has already agreed to provide complete satellite services to SAARC countries through Asiasat, so why spend money when such services can be obtained free.

    Sunimal Monday, 18 September 2017 01:05 PM

Because the government is aiming for recognition, not a cost-effective and efficient solution.

There is no way that the former President's son syphoning money from CEB without the knowledge of the minister of Power and Energy at that time and even the subsequent successor getting to know. There were three ministers in charge of the CEB after 2005 namely John Seneviratene who held the post till 2010 and Champika Ranawaka who held it for 3 years after that and then Pavithra for 2 years after that. Considering above, Champaka must have known this very much earlier. Then why was Champaka silent all these years?

    Bala Monday, 18 September 2017 12:00 PM

It was during Pavithras time and it was revealed and a case in progress. Champaka was only saying what has happened so far.Minister Ranawaka said that he had made a complaint over the incident and it is being probed now

I think it is a part of their longer term plan on developing the country... Most of people see only the negative side of it.

    Ben Monday, 18 September 2017 05:50 PM

If all these monies wasted or play out by the top lot in the last regime , Why not get them to sell their assets or get the supporters to go pinde patahya collect the lost monies to free them,It is no use sending them for 2 / 3 or life time to jail. These monies must made into a fund that can give a solid Insurance for all over 65s or 70s So the young couples now strugling to support their old parents can be relived.

    raj Monday, 18 September 2017 09:40 PM

I am very sad to say those who have ruined our country is calling for justice. Mahinda and his family ruined our economy and today they are telling us they are honest. If MS and RW don't take action against MR and their immediate family then there is no point in supporting them too.

    ED Tuesday, 19 September 2017 04:59 AM

MR.MINISTER IF YOU HAVE EVIDENCE GO TO FCID AND THE CID LODGE YOUR COMPLAIN GET THE BALL ROLLING SOON OTHERWISE IT IS USELESS YAPPING AND YAPPING WHOLE DAY.......WE NEED TO SEE ACTION TAKEN NOW BEFORE 2020.
