UNP MP Hirunika Premachandra said today some UNP backbenchers had decided not to attend any event which Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe attends because they were disappointed with the party reforms.
She said the Prime Minister had assured them he would give a decision on the party reforms based on the Ruwan Wijewardene Committee report but it never happened.
“More than 20 UNP backbenchers are disappointed as the Premier did not keep his word and that they had not got an opportunity to express their disappointment,” Ms. Premachandra said and added that this situation might lead to a rift within the party. (Ajith Siriwardana)

I feel sorry for the young UNP MPs..You have no future with a Leader like RW. Get a new leader SOON.

Yes, that know they can not go back to the village at the next elections with Ranil as the leader of the UNP.

More than the backbenchers, the UNP voters are thoroughly disgusted

Only thing left for them now is to eat grass ; preferably fried grass for breakfast . Boiled grass for lunch and smoked grass for dinner which will add variety to their meals. Only a utter fool can expect a meaningfull reform from Ranil who has fooled many on the same subject so many times in the past.

Madam seriously we dont care whether you all attend or not or even the PM attend abd event or not. But as citizens of this country we certainly want the government to attend the job this government was elected for. We need decision making governance to move forward. If you cant do the job just leave peacefully. Dont bring the infighting to the public. We are tired.

The solution comes with election. No. 1 solution is do not give power back to family of murdering robbers. No.2 solution is do not give power to bank robbers. No. 3 solution is give power to SLFP.

From when she became a UNPer, her stay in UNP is only to take revenge from Duminda.
