No US visa for me, says SF

Regional Development Minister Field Marshal Saratha Fonseka said on Monday that despite his name was included in the delegation travelling to the United States with President Maithripala Sirisena to participate at the UN Sessions in New York, he was not granted visa for the tour.

Speaking to the media at Kelaniya, Field Marshal Fonseka said he requested to protect the good name of the Army by punishing the wrongdoers and he was also a victim of war allegations as some have engaged in misdeeds under the guise of war.

Sarath Fonseka is no saint. In the nineties when he was commander of the Jaffna district more than 500 youths disappeared after arrest by soldiers under his command. They all ended in Chemany graves. The gang rape and murder of Krishanthi Kumarasamy and her mother on 7 August, 1996 at Navakuly check point took place during his tenure as army commander.

People questioned being having "Green Card" why not have VISA to come to United States of America.?Green Card is a temporary residence Permit, to live in America legally ,but any time it can be revoked by the law in America for some reasons .US Citizens Ship holders are the people have rights to live with out restrictions.After becoming "Green Card Holder " for 5 years only Green Card Holder can apply for "Citizenship "providing proof of good behavior, tax all paid , no criminal activities , and , main thing is correct entrance to America legally at the first entering stage.Otherwise even that stage immigration can kicked out of the country.Like Srilanka, No Minister, No Bribe, even No Approach of President can "Over Rule " the process.

Actually, more than Sarath, it was UN and President Maithree that had lost the face. After all, Sarath was taking part in a UN delegation, picked up by Maithree. Maithree can talk sweet things such as protecting war heroes, but he failed to ensure a simple Visa requirement for the delegate chosen by him. Shame on Maithree and UN!
