Even though the outcome of the meeting with the President and the Health Minister was positive, the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) said today its future action would be decided based on the outcome of the next meeting with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister between December 10 and 19.

GMOA Secretary Dr. Nalinda Herath said the President’s response was positive when they pointed out that most of their concessions had been cut down in the budget.

Ungrateful people. From kindergarten to Medical degree you study with tax payers money and now you want to hold the public hostage for more concessions. Really sickening to hear this. To get a quality medical degree outside it would cost more than $200,000. But our government has given this ungrateful free of charge on top of the monthly allowance, accommodation.
