Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Office and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayake denied reports that there was an underground palace or bunker at Temple Trees.
“We were surprised after hearing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s claims that there was a bunker under Temple Trees. It is not true, no such things are found under Temple Trees. Anyway now we are checking whether former President Chandrika Kumaratunga had built a palace under Temple Trees,” he said referring to former President Rajapaksa’s claims.
He also said that when Ranil Wickremesinghe was the Prime Minister in the previous occasions, he never built such an underground palace or bunker at Temple Trees. (Anjula Mahika Weeraratne)

No bunkers built at TT, but he may have released a few billions to to a Contractor to build , but it was built in another place..Even MR may not know what happened .It is possible the entry to this bunker is from another location and he may be still using it.Use some experts and get it located,

Exactly.....Still feeling around in the dark....
Cobra Wednesday, 28 October 2015 07:46 AM
Only a wine cellar with the best MR could offer visitors to TT or try looking for an underground tunnel that leads to China!!!
Location Tuesday, 27 October 2015 07:16 AM
Sagara - send Navy divers into the adjoining lake. In all probability this bunker could be under the lake. - with a submarine to flee (as it would be difficult to construct a tunnel )
cost Tuesday, 27 October 2015 07:20 AM
Bunker or not =the govt should haul up MR to one of the commissions and get him to cough up details of who built both the bunkers, and the expenditure incurred, and expenditure "in-comed ! "

Did any one check under the carpets..??
Access Tuesday, 27 October 2015 07:28 AM
Like some drug peddler (arrested or killed by the STF), MR would have constructed an access through a pantry cupboard, or through a toilet fitting, or by a sliding door behind the TVs he had in the Toilets (at Temple trees) . Better check !

Easy for media to check who is lying by a visit to TT - MR or Sagala. May be it is very well camouflaged that they cannot spot it.

knowing how she lied during her days as president, she occupied the residence at fort and disturbed the business surroundings without even having the decency of inquiring into the well being of those businesses that were affected. The occupants at the corner of 39,Chatham Street, were not allowed to maintain the building externally and neither did the presidents office volunteer to attend to it. The result, the building collapsed with hardly any compensation given to those occupants who were dependent on their modest income.

There is a bunker, this was dug in Rajapakses era... I very well remember the sight where tons of sand was moved out of Temple Trees, in was temporarily unloaded at a barren land in St Micheals Road, Col-3.
