Long term solution should be making three over head bridges at Rajagiriya, and kanaththa junction. And stop vehicles entering Sri Jayawardenapura road from Royal gardens. The traffic flow will be smooth.

No point diverting to alternate routes if those roads are not in good condition. So develop the alternate roads too.

hahaha what a flop,, build highways... thats the only solution.. these roads have been like this for so many decades..
