This is crazy, police authority has a right to detained any one suspicious. How is SLHRC question. If i be the IGP , i will detained and question SLHRC chief for days for unnecessarily interfering and disturbing a on going murder case.

With such incriminating evidence of abuse on the child, why has the OIC not been arrested? What about the magistrate who remanded the suspects with floosy petty evidence, the magistrate also needs to be investigated and disciplined.

Susan - the police can arrest anybody on suspicion, but the police has no right to touch the suspect until investigations are over, he can be questioned in a proper manner but not brutally attacked. So wake up Ms Susan and see the reality. HRC is not investigating the arrest on suspicion but the brutal manner this young 17 year old was treated along with the 32 yr old father.
