The Move is commendable. Sadly, the explosion of human population and the need to sustain life and by farming has seen the encroachment of these jungles and has narrowed down the free habitat of the animals. The animals are guided by their limited intelligence by nature and are now finding their habitat taken over by man. They move in the only environment they know and used to, and as a result this conflict persists. The now , limited bio-diversity is of extreme importance and the further destruction will be to our peril. Promoting tourism should be carefully considered if the natural habitat is going to be effected adversely. A recent clip of vehicles in one of our protected reserves showed the provocation of the animals by the jeep driver for the entertainment of the clients. The moot poj there is who should we identify as animals.

Its in Anuradapura district. Balalu wewa is actually adjoining to Kalawewa where you get famous Awukana Statue.

Very commendable that the basic right of animals to live is honoured and enhanced in this manner. And thank you!
