Daham Sirisena justifies his trip to UN

Daham Sirisena, the son of President Maithripala Sirisena, referring to his inclusion in the Sri Lanka delegation to UN, on Monday questioned, how could his attendance have a negative effect on the country?

Posting a facebook note, he stated, “How could my attendance be a negative effect to the country? How could my attendance be the downfall of the country? I urge you all not to compare me and my family with the past regimes as we are far different from them.”

Majority of the nation voted for a change, but little did they know was that they were fooled using the their own hatred against them for the benefit of the Greens. I feel sorry about the people, especially the ones who are fighting and arguing over the parties like they were paid.

I admired the Presidents simple straight forward qualities, but I am now dismayed. Seat in an official delegation should have been earned.The Presidents wife is the first Lady it is not transferable.

This is exactly what your father promised that he would not do when he made the first appeal to the country. You seem to have a dubious definition for nepotism. Whatever you say, the only reason you got on that delegation was because your father was the President and he called all the shots. By the way how many other delegates brought their kith and kin. You see UN is serious business which affect the country and you have no business there. It is such a pity that this country cannot find one honest person to be the President.
