Gota, Duminda to appear before PRECIFAC on Sep. 17, 18

Former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Duminda Silva and seven others would be summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources, and Privileges (PRECIFAC) on September 17 and 18 for further questioning.

Commission Secretary Lacille De Silva said they hoped to finish recording the evidence within next two hearings.

Evidence was recorded from the employees of Rakna Lanka Ltd against Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Duminda Silva and seven others On Thursday (03) and Friday (04) with regard to the allegations of deploying Rakna Lanka staff for election campaign during the last Presidential Election in January.
