President Maithripala Sirisena today said he will not allow the ‘silent revolution’ carried out on January 8, to be revoked.

He had made these remarks at the event held to lay the foundation stone for the Matara- Hambantota stretch of the Southern expressway.

"I did not enter politics randomly or abruptly – my experiences in politics spans close to 49 years. . . I will not let any party decision tarnish or harm the transformations that occurred in this country after January 8 – I will protect it,” he has said.

Speaking further the President had noted that he would ensure that justice prevails in the country and that family rule and corruption is cast out and that good governance is preserved. (Krishan Jeewaka Jayaruk)

These are just empty words to shape up the situation. MS has been doing this all along when he was confronted with the issue of giving a chance to MR. With or without your approval or intention, MR would grab the executive prime ministrial position ( by bribing mps with the billions he has already amassed during the past 10 years) and even would try to impeach MS and get one of his henchmen installed as the president. These flowery words are useless. Be firm and the let proper investigations ( already started and would start) go on without unhindered, and let all illegal activities of this Rajapaksha brothers, their family members, kith and kin be brought to book and exposed, so the whole world would see their record breaking activities.
