Hey, It was a Airbus 380 and someone claimed they can land only at Mattala. They claimed that after the opening of Mattala the air traffic in Sri Lanka airspace had grown. Why is DM not mentioning the type of Aircraft? Tut Tut Tut!

With 510 passengers this would have been an A380. Strange that the previous government built the oversized Matale airport to accomodate these planes because Bandaranaike airport was too small. Do you think the previous government might have been telling a little boru?

It is the second A380 to land recently at BIA. Why not plan to have long haul flights from Aussie to Middle-East and vice versa stop regularly at BIA?

A380 can carry 853 passengers, but there was only 510 passengers in this flight.

853 passengers if the air craft is set for all economy class.
