The no-confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake was being finalized and would be submitted in parliament by next week, UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardane said.

Speaking at a media briefing this morning, MP Gunawardane said more than 90 MPs have already signed the motion and added that it was being finalized successfully.

He said several charges were made in the motion to which includes additions such as the financial transactions of Minister Karunanayake with Raj Rajaratnam who has been prosecuted in America for insider trading, misleading the finance market by making a statement that the Central bank Governor Arjun Mahendran was not guilty and that the government bond auction was done in a transparent manner while Mr. Mahendran was reappointed to the post even before an inquiry.

Mr. Gunawardane said they would request for a three-day debate from the Speaker before taking the vote on the no-confidence motion and added that a group of UNP MPs have also agreed to vote for the motion.(Ajith Siriwardana)

Everyone can see these angry goons quite often on TV screen these days and the way they behave in front of our fellow citizens, shame, very unpleasant and rude. When they are in power they are the most stupid goons, even now they are trying to show they are the smartest ministers were in the previous regime and they are trying to convince they have clean records. But their re-actions itself a big puzzle to public the rude, stupid and angry behavior shows something definitely behind it. If they have cleaner records they should not be bothered so much and the law and order will apply impartially for every citizen in the country nowadays. That is courts responsible and they will give the verdict accordingly as per the countries prevailing low. This goons behavior remind me one of the ancient day Sinhalese quotes “Puhul Hora Karen Dane” We know it is not that easy to cheat our modern generation and they will give the correct decision when the time comes.

Then why they are re-acting such rude and stupid way. There is rule of law in the country absolutely impartial now, the courts will decide the cleanliness and no one should not worry about it. It will take necessary time to gather all evidences in order to examine the case. That is purely courts duty. The way these ministers behavior remind us those ancient Sinhalese quote " Puhul Hora Karen Dane"However every politician must understand that, it is not easy to Cheat our educated fellow Sri Lankan anymore in the future and they will give correct decision when the time comes.

Very interesting ..... this is how the previous parliament did things ...... this report states that the NO CONFIDENCE motion is being finalized BUT they have already 90 signatures have been obtained!So the 90 people who signed do not as yet know what the final motion is ?Can we have a NO CONFIDENCE motion on those 90 signatories ? They certainly are not doing their job - for the people who gave them their votes.
