Pettah vendors keep their fingers crossed as New Year dawns

Avurudhu is a season to be happy, Some would say Avurudhu is commercialised; yet with our life styles those commercialised goods too add a bit of colour to Avurudhu. It feels so good to get gifts and gift hunting too is important. With the sky rocketing cost of living it is a bit difficult to buy gifts for many.
