Skeletons of two women recovered

Skeletons of two women were recovered today from the ground floor of a two storied house at Uyankele in Panadura, the Police said.

The deceased were identified as Pathma Fernando (72) and Mallika Fernando (70). The women had been the only occupants of the house.

Residents who found the two elderly ladies missing had informed of their relatives, who had in turn informed the Police.

Police are investigation into the incident to determine whether the incident was a murder. (Sri Mahabellana and Kusal Chamath)
