The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today unanimously approved the decision to appoint President Maithripala Sirisena as the SLFP chairman.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Former president Chandrika Kumaratunge and Mahinda Rajapaksa have also been appointed patrons of the party.

will this not create a conflict of interest Once my3 becomes d chairman of d SLFP he will be expected to safeguard everyone in that party. What happens to those who voted for him from UNPJVPJHUTNA etc. because they did not want the SLFP anymore to be in power will my3 now have to safeguard all d crooks in d former govt. is there some underhand deal taking place we want to know immediately. via DM Android App
